While they slept...

While mom and sons nap, G-bear and I decided to give some info.

We went into la hospital around 2:30 p.m. to be induced (after losing our morning spot to another soon to be mother--note to self there are no "reservations" with the hospital).   Nothing happened for a long time (a very long time [a very, very, there-is-only-a-little-bit-of-the-hospital-you-can-walk-while-connected-to-machines, long, boring time]).  Finally, early, early the following morning (let's just say round 12:00 a.m.ish) the contractions hit…and man did they hit.  Fortunately it didn’t take long (from a bystanders point of view) for Meg to “qualify” for an epidural.  The time between epidural to delivery was short (again from a bystanders point of view), about 2 hrs.  Baby arrived.  Mom was happy and sleepy.  Son was sleepy.  Then we moved to a different room.  The end.

Okay, now for the photos: (limited they be because of slow internet)

In the Hospital

We are in the hospital, Meg trying to not be so bored.

Today's the day to be induced

Well...it is almost 8 in the morning,on Friday. You probably think we are at the hospital, with Meg in the middle of labor. Nope! We received a phone call 5:30 this morning. Too many people had babies this last week. Critical mass has been reached. Thus, we wait. But this post doesn't need to be so negative: we were able to sleep in (sort of).

Introducing...another day without a child?

At this point in time: Yes. Meg has a non-stress test today and Wednesday. If no baby, Meg will be induced Friday morning. I think this baby has caused us more stress than the two that are with us (and he hasn't even come yet; oh the irony!).

Insert title here...

I am bored with updating this blog so Megan and I went for a long walk. She chose (I emphasize "chose") to push the children (in the stroller; however, I did just giggle to myself thinking of Megan pushing the children the entire walk). That meant going up and down hills. Hopefully tonight will be the second to last post (the last being an update with pictures of the little one) because we need to get back on schedule and only post every six months or so.

Think of the Children!!!!!

This morning I woke up around 6:00 a.m. and heard G-bear crying. I went to her room to see why she was crying.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"I had a nightmare," she replied.
"About what?" I responded.
"Molly wouldn't color with me!" she sobbed.
I didn't mean to laugh, but how could I not?
-----
Tonight we rented "Despicable Me" for our occasional "Dinner and a Movie" Friday. When we got home G-bear was so excited she told I-man, "We are going to watch 'Despicable Me'!"
I-man responded, "Despicable you?"
G-bear replied, "No, 'Despicable Me'"
I-man, "Despicable you?"
"NO! 'Despicable Me!'"
This conversation went a little bit longer, but eventually they bored with the conversation and went their separate ways.

P.S. No kid yet.

The "Now that we..."s

Now that we have diapers at home the baby can come.
Nope! No baby.
Now that we have a name picked out the baby can come.
Nope! No baby.
Now that we have an outfit purchased the baby can come.
Nope! No baby.
Now that we have a bag that's packed the baby can come.
Nope! No baby.
Now that we have a diaper bag the baby can come.
Nope! No baby.
Now that we have one fewer couch the baby can come.
We shall see.

...And...

I enjoyed watching the BCS championship game. I will not bore you with my perception of the game...blah...blah...blah. Oh yeah: Baby is still not here, but Meg's discussion with G-bear about where babies come out was quite entertaining. In the words of G-bear: "EWWWWW!" (G-bear just assumed babies come out of momma's belly button and that she would need a band-aid afterwards.)

...Some More...

Megan didn't want to go into labor until after Primary finished. She hoped to deliver the baby as soon as church ended (well, long enough to drop off the kids and then get to the hospital). Well...church ended and still nothing! Maybe tonight or tomorrow or not, we shall see.

Building it up....

Any day now. We wait...any hour...any day. Oh the excitement is in the air! Man! Oh man! -- On a side note and with much appreciation: We were able to make one last trip to the Spokane temple before d-day, without the kids--Thank you Courtney and thanks for the clean car. -- Okay goodnight.
