(So brief it only includes events since our last post):
We made a visit down South from the Inland Northwest for Michael’s wedding. It was hot, but Ashley and Wes provided many opportunities to stay cool (the watermelon eating contest was one such opportunity).
After all that excitement, we ventured back home. During which time nothing happened, except our A/C went out in Boise and the DVD player stopped working around Riggins—yet we still survived (imagine that).
After we got home, Megan joined a community band in Moscow. She practiced Wednesday evenings and played Thursday nights. She enjoyed it.
As the summer months drew to an end, we decided to go on a couple of bike trips. We spent the first bike trip riding the Hiawatha trail with friends. It was amazing. We rode through old train tunnels (one tunnel was 1.7 miles long; our headlamps lighted the way--sort of). We rode over old train trestles. The 15-mile ride took a few hours, but was well worth it. The scenery was awesome.
The second bike trip we took was to ride the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes. Also a pretty ride (but you weren’t allowed to play in the dirt—contamination problems)

The dude celebrated his second birthday (G-bear helped with the cupcakes; you get to guess which ones she helped with)

Cutting down a Christmas tree (a great family tradition)
Our seventh wedding anniversary (Megan made the quilt for me—the quilt is made from our pants, seven years worth)
