He's a bully, he is

If you really know Gwen, you know that she loves her silky blankets and doesn't go anywhere without one. She has the corners well worn from sucking on them and when we tried to replace her disgusting blankets with an identicle new one, she would have nothing to do it. Even with her eyes closed, she could tell it wasn't of her blankies. Anyway, Ira is following in her footsteps. He loves his silky blanket and also loves to tease Gwen. Whenever he's within reach of hers he'll grab it and stuff it in his mouth, which makes Gwen very upset. He gets this amused look on his face as Gwen is crying and trying to pull it away from him. This picture was taken after one of those incidents, which explains why Gwen is hoarding her blankets and looks so distressed. Ira, by the way, cut his first tooth two days ago. Hooray!

I can't smell!

I'm getting over this cold and my sense of taste and smell is completely wiped out. I made this chicken dish tonight that called for twelve, yes twelve, cloves of garlic and I couldn't smell them at all when I was sauteing them, nor could I taste them when I ate it. I farted last night and Jake was like, "Wow, you stink!" and I never would have known if he hadn't told me. So anyway, if I stink please forgive me. I can't smell it.

A quick photo from Friday evening

Chief Justice Roberts is an excellent speaker. His lecture was on Abraham Lincoln and his ties to Idaho. In addition to that, he encouraged all lawyers to practice as Abraham Lincoln did. It was a long day, but well worth it.

Enduring Winter (Thanks a lot Melissa!)

We'd been having some really beautiful weather up here (relatively speaking), and my friend had to go and pray for more snow because they didn't get the chance to make a snowman with their son. I don't know how they could have missed out on this opportunity because we have been pretty pounded with snow this winter. Nevertheless, they missed their opportunity and had to punish the rest of us by praying for more stinkin' snow. I guess their faith exceeded our own, becuase as we've been praying for it to go away for good, it has continued coming down. Today we are actually enjoying some sun for a change which I am really grateful for.

Anway, I didn't really have much to blog about, but here are some pictures that I had recently taken off my camera. I hadn't uploaded the pictures from my camera in a while, which is kind of exciting. Almost as exciting as it used to be to take a roll of film in to get developed. I think with digital cameras now you lose a little bit of the excitement and anticipation because you can see the picture you took instantly. There is none of the suspense that there used to be. Even still, I would never go back.

These are my Valentine's Day flowers from Jake. I post this picture not to show Jake's awesomeness and great taste in floral design, two qualities which he indeed posesses, but I just really liked Gwen's head poking up above it all. I don't think I noticed that when I took the picture.

On one of our nicer days we made it out to see the sheep. This was Ira's first introduction. I think he enjoyed it. Sadly, Nana the goat was not out in her usual spot.

Gwen really enjoys "helping" me make bread.

Gwen has been boycotting her shirt lately. The nice thing is that I'm doing less laundry.

This picture creeps me out a bit because it reminds me of the Joker in the Dark Night.
